July! Neuffer family reunion in Maryland over Fourth of July weekend (we got a beach house on the Chesapeake Bay), Elise turned FOUR! and had a fairy birthday party, Great Grandma Evelyn's funeral in Boise (Matt took Luke and Lydia, and they stayed at Great Grandpa Hill's), trip to the VMFA with Lydia and Emmi, Lydia finished her summer reading challenge.

When there's a thunder storm, everyone runs to Matt!

Matt, Luke and Lydia were among Great Grandma Evelyn's grandkids and great-grandkids who sang at her funeral.

Luke was feeling left out that his sisters got nightgowns and he didn't, so Matt found him a nightshirt (just one of his old shirts!) and he was very happy about that!

For the second half of summer, Luke and Elise went to half-day preschool with Ms Marlene and Ms Theresa. On Fridays they combined classes and got to be together! 

Luke's sisters wouldn't sword fight with him, so he invited Caiden over to play!

Lydia read 14 chapter books for her summer reading challenge! 
She was really into the Who Was series. Her prize was a trip to Mable's for milkshakes!
