Lydia Turns FIVE!
It's not every day that your little girl turns FIVE!
But as she reminds us all the time, she's not a little girl any more. Now she's a big kid!
We were lucky enough that Ellen and Corey were in DC the weekend before Lyd's birthday, and they drove down to spend the afternoon with us on Sunday. Just like last year when Matt's siblings were in town, we had an early, family bday party including Grandma Trudy, Grandpa Mark, and Aunt Sarah on FaceTime while she opened Wleklinski presents, we all sang, and had cake!
She and Luke LOVED playing with Aunt Ellen and Uncle Corey (and it was so nice showing them where we live and spending time with them) - the pictures speak for themselves!
| Ellen sent this side-by-side: Lyd's 3rd bday and 5th bday! Wearing the same colors somehow! |
On the morning of her actual birthday, we FaceTimed with Grammie Heidi and Grandpa Mike (who got up at about 5am their time for this!) while she opened presents from them, Mom, and Dad.
Later that day we went to the pool with friends!

| SO ADORABLE! |
She and I also went on a special mommy-daughter date to see Spirit Untamed at the movie theatre! It was so fun to do something special, just the two of us. She was really excited!
For her birthday dinner we went to a new restaurant Matt found - lakefront, the MOST beautiful views, and about 10 minutes from our house. I still can't believe we get to live here!
And would a birthday really be complete without a balloon photo shoot?? We blasted Disney songs and jumped around on Mom's bed - lots of giggles ensued. These pics capture the personality of our bright, sparkling, darling LYDIA!
