Hello from Sundance!

Hello from our cozy cabin in Sundance, Utah! :)

My parents and Ellen flew in from California on Friday, and after some travel trouble, we finally all made it to our weekend getaway!

Relaxation at its best :)

Sundance does a good job of everything! This weekend has been a lovely break from regular life.

My parents got into town first and we went to Cafe Rio for their delish fish tacos. Like we'd go anywhere else for our one meal in Provo. ;)

They were perfect. Then we headed up to Salt Lake to pick up Elle from the airport! She had the greatest welcome committee a girl could ask for after 9 hours of no-fun travel. :)

We were just missing Sarah, who of course couldn't come becasue she's in FRANCE working on her MBA! Also a belated birthday shout out to my older sister! 

Finally we made it to Sundance :) We wasted no time getting down to business: relaxing, watching movies, and reading magazines.

We discovered the hot tub and have been taking full advantage!

Everyone loves Barkley :) It was Mom, Dad, and Ellen's first time meeting him!!

Matt cleared off a path to the hot tub for maximum access :)

Otherwise we'd have to trudge through the snow to get in and out. 

We tried going on a run near our cabin but there was too much snow :(

So we took a Saturday afternoon trip down to Provo with Ellen instead!

...where we found perfect running conditions. :) Ellen was a pro running at altitude!

Then we stopped by BYU to give Ellen a tour, including a stop at the gorgeous library:

...and lunch at the Wilk!

Then we swung by Macey's for their 59 cent kong cones - a necessity for any visit to Provo:

Soon we arrived back at the cabin to get freshened up for dinner with my parents at Sundance Resort! We walked from our place to the restaurant. 

We ate at the resort's Foundry Grill and which was amazing. We give it our highest recommendation :)

Everything was perfect, lovely, and delicious!

After dinner we walked around Sundance Resort. It's beautiful!

 Then we watched a movie in our cabin to round out the evening :)

"Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows, Part 2".....
We found it in the cabin's stash of movies and it was so bad, it was good.
We made fun of it the whole time and had a good laugh :)

This morning we're walking back to Sundance resort for breakfast! Wearing our "crampons" of course. :) Thanks to Dad for that find.

Not before having our own gourmet breakfast, of course: frosted mini wheats with chocolate almond milk ;D

It's been wonderful to spend time with my fam, and Sundance itself has been lovely! The trip will be over all too soon!
