April

April seemed quiet but looking back on pictures shows that we actually had a lot of fun. I guess that's why I keep this journal - otherwise we forget so much!

We celebrated Easter with egg hunts, the kids' and Matt's Primary performance, family meals and family scripture study. We got Elise registered for Kindergarten and ran into a bunch of friends there. We considered putting her in another year of preschool because of her July birthday, and researched schools she could go to. But ultimately we decided to send her this fall. She'll be surrounded by friends, familiar faces and her big siblings, and even though she'll be on the younger side, she'll be ready.

She also started private swim lessons at the Y and went from not being able to swim at all, to being comfortable and safe in the water in just a few lessons. She learned really fast!

We watched the world come back to life with butterflies, baby birds, blossoms, boating, biking, and backyard gardening and building.

Matt built a trellis for the peas this year. They've gotten huge the past few summers!

He's also been working hard on the dry creek in the side yard. It's almost done!
