Easter family picture 2024

Lydia left a preemptive thank you note for the Easter Bunny the night before :)

First attempts at an Easter family photo

The day before Easter Matt took the kids to an Easter thing. This was as close as Elise was willing to get to the big guy, but she was still willing to smile! :)

Making Easter sugar cookies!

Luke's haul from his preschool Easter egg hunt!

Making pop-up Easter scenes

Not the best pic but dying Easter eggs with Emmi, Soren, and Elizabeth!
Side note, Luke picked out those sun flowers at Trader Joe's himself and asked if we could buy them.
Love his love for flowers!

The Elise-ter Bunny!!

Chalk art in the driveway.
An activity they can all do together!

Maymont!

Can you see Elise running through the grass?
Perfect spring day at Maymont!

"Why is there only one cow?" - Lydia, perpetually unimpressed 😅

Matt has been getting really into gardening this spring!
He built two planter boxes and he and the kids have been busy filling them with all kinds of plants.

Luke and his buddy Louis

Elise looking adorable in her new strawberry swimsuit!

Matt put the kids to work spreading mulch. They loved it! 😄

He also got started making our side yard into "a secret garden" complete with heated outdoor shower.

He's becoming quite the gardener and even started a bunch of plants from seed with the kids.

Watering the seedlings

Lydia still loves going to Activity Girls!

Practicing for our Easter egg hunt :)

The sweetest note and gift for Baby Girl from Whitney 🤍

BARKLEY

Lydia's second grade music performance!
They performed a combination of songs and skits called Commotion in the Ocean. So fun!

On the way out the door for second grade.
She liked this outfit/hair style. :)

Elise's dragon sweatshirt!

We made robin's nest treats! 🪺

Lydia was very excited and proud that her artwork was included in the school's art fair at the public library! Then it was selected with an even smaller group to be displayed at the school's STEAM fair. :) She says art is her favorite subject in school. :)

Bike ride / stroller ride to get donuts (at 6 months pregnant)

Another day, another stroller walk.
Second trimester has been great for getting out and walking.

Luke asked for days and days if we could make home made lemonade from real lemons.
Turned out great and was fun!
