February

  • Matt flew to Idaho over Presidents' Day weekend for Great Grandpa Hill's 90th birthday party! More than 70 family members were there, including all 8 of Boyd's kids and their spouses; most of his grandkids; and a few of his great-grandkids. Great Grandpa Hill showed off by swinging on the rope swing and saying "I hope all of you can do that at 90!" 🥳
  • Cousin Jordan was born!! We can't wait to meet him, and are so excited to have THREE new California cousins this year!!
  • While Matt was gone, the kids helped me set up Luke's new room! We got twin beds, quilts and linens off Marketplace the weekend before. Everything was basically brand new. They helped me pack it all into my car (without an inch to spare). Such a fun find! The kids were actually very helpful in setting everything up, and we got to surprise Matt with it when he came home! Luke loves his new room. :)
  • Matt took Lydia to the elementary school's Valentine's Day dance. They had the best time! Second year in a row they've gone together. 💕
  • Valentine's Day! Including picking out valentines for classmates, giving flowers to teachers, and Matt's surprise lunch date with Lydia at school! Second year in a row for this too.
  • Luke and Lydia started swim lessons again at our neighborhood pool. Lydia is prepping for swim team this summer by doing private and group lessons.
  • I had my very-last-ever gestational diabetes test! And passed. :)
  • And lots of fun outside play.

Waving goodbye to Daddy when he drove to the airport.

Good little helpers in Luke's new room!

Luke practiced writing his name by signing Valentine's Day cards for all of his preschool friends and church class friends. 🥹 He chose Paw Patrol ones!

Elise with her haul from her very first Valentine's Day party!
They did a valentine exchange and had pink cupcakes (can you see the frosting on her mouth?)

At 25 weeks pregnant, I finally felt good enough to start walking again.

Luke's doing great on his big kid bike!

Can you see the tiny FedEx truck Luke's holding?

All 3 are into building towns with magnatiles, blocks, Lincoln Logs, etc. these days.
