January ✨ and February ❤️
New Year's Day was a big day at our house! Since it was a Sunday, Luke moved up to Primary and officially became a Sunbeam! Lydia proudly walked him to class, where he got sun-shaped sunglasses and even went to the front to participate. He did a great job!
Meanwhile Elise had her first day of nursery! She wore the same dress that Lydia wore on her first day of nursery, too. Matt sat in with her most of the hour, but she was happy to eat her snack and play with toys. :)
On New Year's Eve, Matt took Lydia and Luke to a "noon" year's eve party with Mia, Natalie, and Macie. Lydia played outside with her friends for over an hour! They also did face painting, made crowns and had a countdown. I stayed home with Elise - we were both sick. Actually I spent most of New Year's weekend home sick with bronchitis! Such a bummer. But the kids had fun and Matt took great care of us.

Lydia's First Dance!
Matt took Lydia to her first dance! At Woolridge. She was so excited! She was exuberant on the dance floor (Matt said "she's definitely not a wall flower!" which we already knew :) ), and she even found her name on the walk of fame. So fun!!
Brooke's Baby Shower
In February I threw a Valentine's theme baby shower for Brooke! We did a DIY bouquet bar and it was perfect.
Valentine's Day
The kids brought bouquets for their teachers and were excited about sharing Valentines with their classes.
Matt was a lunch visitor and had lunch with Lydia at school! This is a big deal in the first grade and she was very excited. :)
I got reservations at Portico the Saturday night before (hard to do!!) so Matt and I went out for a special date.
Preschool and Mrs. Stephanie's house
Luke is so lucky to have the best preschools! Three mornings a week he goes to Woodlake (with Ms. Marlene and Ms. Cameron), and two mornings a week he goes to our neighbor Mrs. Stephanie's house. It's perfect and we love it.
After all that morning fun he usually needs a nap. :)
Snow Day
One day in February we got snow! The kids made tiny snowmen and had a snowball fight at the bus stop.
The Virginia House
One day we planned on going to Agecroft Hall but on the way passed The Virginia House and noticed that it was open! It's only open for events, and that day there was one that allowed us in?? So lucky. We got to see the grounds and inside of this beautiful building, imported from England! Hoping we get a chance to see it in the spring or summer when everything is blooming one day too.
Then on a different day we explored Agecroft Hall.
