Luke Turned TWO!

 Our favorite little guy turned TWO this week! 

We celebrated with his favorites: he had pizza and green beans for dinner, and a big "chocolate lovers" cupcake for dessert! He loved his Little Tykes basketball hoop from Heidi and Mike (it was the perfect gift - he points out every "ee-ba!" basketball hoop we see while out driving!) When he woke up he immediately shouted "ee-ba!" and started playing with it. :) And has been playing with it ever since. He also got a strider bike, Beatles tee shirt, and Lydia picked out chocolate for him - still his very favorite. :) 

At dinner we went around and said some of the things we love about Luke! 

• His big smile and laugh
• The way he follows "dada" around outside doing yard work and tries to do everything he does
• Playing together - Lydia
• That he's Grandma Trudy's first boy in her family
• His big blue eyes
• That he loves chocolate
• He's chill 90% of the time
• He loves a banana smoothie in the morning and covers his ears and smiles when the blender is on
• That he points out every "bug bite" and "booboo"
• That he calls his legs his "bug bites" because he usually has lots of them on his legs from playing outside and we'd point to his legs and say "bug bites"!
• Every time he sees a pumpkin he says "doobie doobie" - Spooky Pookie!
• He loves his "ba-dee" blanket and bunny
• He still takes a 1-2 hour nap every day
• He blew out his own candle :)

He started crawling out of his crib last week, so Matt took off the front railing! After a couple days of transition Luke now does really well in his big boy bed and plays with toys in the morning or after nap when he wakes up.

Matt had the day off and got to come with us to Luke's 2 year check up! Luke is all healthy, tall and sturdy at

• 83% for height
• 78% for weight

We sure love our Luke!
