Elise's Blessing Day
Sweet baby Elise's blessing day was Sunday, August 8, when she was 3 weeks old. Matt gave her the most thoughtful blessing surrounded by family: Zac, Whitney, the cousins, Mike, and Heidi were there!
Heidi had been there all week helping with the baby, and Mike flew in for the weekend. Before church, Lydia and Grammie Heidi helped me give Elise a bath and get her dressed. She wore the same outfit (gown, shoes, and headband) that Lydia wore for her blessing - a gift from Grammie up in Alaska 5 years ago. Plus a tiny, adorable pearl bracelet that Heidi brought this time, just for Elise.
Matt looked so handsome walking his girls into church!
When we got back home, the kids spent hours playing outside while the rest of us took turns snuggling Baby Elise. She's the 5th cousin on the Neuffer side, so we made sure to get an updated cousin pic with her!
Heidi and Mike sure know how to take care of a new baby and her family. They kept the baby every night so Matt and I could sleep (this was huge!!), played with the kids, took them on outings, did our dishes daily, and left the house cleaner than they found it. We're so grateful!

There have been non-stop baby cuddles going on at our house the last 3 weeks. Even little Luke asks to "hold baby?" multiple times a day. :)

Elise also had her two week check up and got a clean bill of health! She gained almost a pound since the week before, and is looking tall and lean at
- 27th % for weight
- 67th % for height
Now that all of the grandparents have gone home and Matt only has a few days of paternity leave left it's time to adjust to our new normal as a family of five... Wish me luck!
