October 2019 - Newborn Family Photos

We took these newborn family photos when Luke was just ten days old!  One week later Matt left for Korea. It's been six months, and we haven't been together since.

He was supposed to come home next week, but because of the Coronavirus travel bans, we have no idea when he'll be back. It's bittersweet to look at these pictures now because we miss him so much, and the uncertainty is so hard.

These pictures make me excited to be reunited (whenever that happens) but also so, so sad that we've been apart for this long. It's especially hard for Lydia, who says "I miss my daddy" every day. 

Thank goodness for FaceTime, and for a really good newborn photographer (my friend Michelle!) who did a fantastic job capturing our brief time together as a family of 4 before military service called him away again. We love you and miss you Matt!
