Reading! My New Year's Resolution
Happy new year!
My new year’s resolution for 2018 was to read! I read 24 books and genuinely enjoyed each one. My list is below with asterisks by my favorites. Apart from reading them, I also enjoyed going to charming used book stores and picking out beautiful copies of the classics to add to our small, but growing, family library. Owning books, instead of borrowing from a library, was inspired by the research that strongly links having plenty of books in the home with higher academic achievement in children (here). I'm planning to keep the resolution going into 2019, but amping it up by trying to read a book per week.
1. *Mere Christianity - C.S. Lewis
2. *Miracles - C.S. Lewis
3. The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe -C.S. Lewis
4. *Anne of Green Gables - Montgomery
