Mom said it perfectly: "Lydia was very generous this year. She gave everyone THE COLD!"
We were sick almost all of Christmas week, but still managed to have fun. :) We left cold, dark Alaska for warm, sunny California!

Every day we went on walks to the park and around the Lafayette reservoir; fun outings including the Lindsay Museum; and out to eat a few times.

One day Matt and I took a day-date to San Francisco while Lydia hung out with Grandma, Grandpa, and her aunts and uncle.
On Christmas Eve Matt, Lydia and I went to church, and then had a quiet day at home playing games, followed by family dinner at a Thai restaurant where we drank coconut water straight out of the coconut with straws - so festive. :) This is the only picture I got of Lydia's Christmas Eve church dress. She had a bow on (before she ripped it off) and was SO cute waving 'hi!' to everyone.
On Christmas morning we opened secret Santa presents! This year we all got one person to give a gift to. It was fun and easy! Of course Lydia still got lots of gifts. :)

After opening presents, we got to FaceTime with Daniel, who's on his mission in Ukraine, and the rest of Matt's family! We can't wait to see him THIS summer!

After a big Christmas dinner at home with Mom and Dad, Matt, Sarah, Ellen, Corey and I went ice skating in downtown Walnut Creek.
We watched a few movies through the week and I think everyone's favorite was the Animal Holiday sing-along! Too bad Matt was sick in bed for that one!
Lydia also got a new stroller and we used it every day for walks to the park and the Lafayette Reservoir.

Mom has the BEST collection of Christmas books. Lydia wasn't the most attentive listener with all the distractions (a house full of people!) but we tried to read all of them.

One night Matt, L and I visited the Oakland temple. The view of the Bay Area and the Christmas lights were incredible! Like most of the week, I was sooo sick that night. But the temple is always wonderful, especially at Christmas!

Lydia even got her own seat on the airplane. She's such a big girl. :)
Even though we were so sick for so much of the trip, it was still a great Christmas, a needed break, and a fun time with the fam!
